What an amazing experience, I’m a lover of trees as I’m very spiritual and believe in the energy of the earth. I was slightly apprehensive getting my tree reduced, but due to lots of dead wood becoming dangerous it really needed doing.The workers explained everything and outlined exactly what they were going to do, the outcome was wonderful and the light now coming into my garden is also a massive bonus with the tree looking amazing !!!I would highly recommend the boys 🙂

Alex and the team removed 3 trees for me on Oct. 13th 2022. I couldn't have been more pleased or impressed! They turned up 30 mins early, and went straight to work. The cherry tree was large - one lad was up there cutting branches off, the second was taking away, and the third was chipping. Alex worked the stump grinder when the "above ground" wood was gone, and explained to me the process of ensuring tap roots and buttress roots were removed, to prevent any re-growth. A couple of hours, everything taken away, and site left tidy - couldn't even see where the trees had been, neighbours were amazed. Highly, highly recommended, very polite, helpful, and the best quote of 4 that I obtained. A great team, thanks lads!!!

I phoned stump up in the morning for a quote to grind down a large tree stump in our garden where a patio is going to be laid. The work was done by the end of the day!! Alex phoned to let me know he was running late and when he and his team arrived, I was just expecting him to give me a quote, not only did he quote a very good price but carried out the work there and then. Stump Up removed a row of Leylandi that was a bit of an eyesore in our garden. Alex turned up on time to quote and offered loads of excellent advice on what was in the garden and what could go in. The quote was very competitive and work was arranged at a convenient time within a couple of days.The team who did the work were also excellent. They arrived on time and made short work of the job and used a grinder on the stumps. They tidied up well, were polite, friendly and efficient. Josh provided more advice and the younger lad was incredibly polite (pleases, thank yous and even called me sir!) All in all, I couldn't be happier with them. They are strongly recommended!

First class service and work quality from the Stumpup team. 2 conifers removed, 1 capped and trimmed, conifer hedge reduced by 1 metre height - lovely straight finish I think they must have a micrometer!Cut the logs into manageable sizes for me to dry and use in firepit next year.Even cleaned up with a leaf blower once all the debris was removed. Would recommend 100%.

Alex and his team at Stump Up did a great job crown raising a number of oak trees behind our house. Also felling a tall fir tree and the removal of a dead tree. Used Stump Up to trim a couple of shade grabbing trees in garden and they did a great job. Offered initial advice on how best to trim the trees and then completed and a very professional job, tidying up afterwards. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We usually remove all timber from site so that you don’t need to worry about it.
However, with many people having wood burning stoves these days, if you’d prefer us to cut and leave your timber on site, we’d be happy to do so. It makes our lives much easier!
We will remove all of the VISIBLE stump above ground (ground level at the time of the job). Please note that stump removal applies to the stump only, and does not cover the root system as we are unable to guarantee removal of all roots.
Our machines are sometimes able to grind down as far as 4 inches below the ground level (ground level at the time of the job). Please let us know on the day if this is required and we will do our best to accommodate.
Please note that if you do further excavation at a later date, you may find additional root stock. We would be happy to provide a new quotation to come and remove this.
We strive to provide an excellent customer experience from your initial contact right through to job completion.
Lead times can vary throughout the year but we aim to provide a quotation within a couple of days and schedule work within 2 weeks.

Yes, absolutely! We are more than happy to quote from photographs and in 99% of cases, the price we give is accurate. However, we do reserve the right to alter the quotation if we turn up and the job is bigger than it appeared on the photograph.
With this in mind, when taking photos, please try and ensure that they are clear, not too close up, and have another object in view (such as a pint pot or a brick) so that we have a frame of reference. Or ideally, use a tape measure in the photo 🙂
